#WebSci20 Countdown – 10 DAYS!
This is the second of our preview posts for the 2020 ACM Web Science Conference.
The events will be taking place online from 6 – 10 July, organised by the University of Southampton. Presenters and participants will have multiple opportunities to engage over a full week of talks, panel sessions and informal discussions.
Our first Panel Discussion after lunch on 8th July is titled “Web Science – now more than ever”. This event is not to be missed! It will be chaired by Rennie Fritchie who is Chancellor of the University of Gloucestershire, Chair of Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales and an independent Cross Bench Peer in the House of Lords. She will be joined in discussion by the pioneers of Web Science Wendy Hall, James Hendler, Nigel Shadbolt, Daniel Weitzner and Noshir Contractor. Discussions will focus on the key role played by Web Science in addressing the challenges we face in society today.
You can get full details of the programme timings on the Conference website. Don’t forget to register here and participate in the whole week of events. We are looking forward to meeting you!
