Javier Pereda
I am a Graphic Designer from Mexico City.
I have been working mainly in industry in which my las role was as an Art and Design Director for a transnational company called ZF Trading. We hosted 5 brands.
But my real passion has been academic work. I started with a BA in Graphic Design from Universidad Tecnologica de Mexico which then lead me to do my first post graduate in Creative Visualization with Universidad de la Comunicación, in here I started specializing in Marketing and Corporate Communication Skills. This gave the skills to be able to deal with a company like ZF Trading or clients like Univision, Honda or Nickelodeon.
I arrived in the UK in 2006 in which I started doing some teaching sessions with University of Southampton with the Archaeological Computing area. Then I moved to a different university where I started teaching Graphic Design, Multimedia, Graphic Image Making, 3D CAD Design and New Media among other courses.
The past six years I have focusing on research involving anthropology, archaeology, Latin American art, masculinity, film studies, multimedia, augmented reality, flash technologies and design theory among others.
