The following recent enhnacements to the user experience have been made.

All change related emails generated by ServiceNow are more easily identifiable as they are now from Change Management rather than ServiceLine or Support.

When an Approver reassigns their approval, the assignee now receieves an approvals request notification email.

The ability now exists to create a change request from or link to project tasks.  This is achieved as follows:-

  • Open the Project Task from which the change request is to be created.
  • Scroll down the screen and click on the ‘Create Change and link from Project Task’ related link.
  • Apply the appropriate template for the Change Type and complete all the fields as normal.
  • Either click the Request Approval button to trigger the approvals process or save to be submitted later.
  • The linked change can now be seen on the Linked Changes tab of the project task as can the linked project task on the Project Task Links tab of the change request just created.
  • To link an existing change request to the project task scroll down the screen and click on the ‘Link an Existing Change to Project Task’ related link.
  • In the Change Request search box type in the number of the related change request.
  • Click OK to link the change to the project task and it appears in the list of Linked Changes
