Procedural Blending

Procedural Blending is a model of Sound Arts practice developed by Iris Garrelfs (2015). It borrows and extends concepts from Conceptual Blending, a theory of cognition developed Gilles Fauconnier and Mark Turner (2002). Procedural Blending aims to expand sound art discourse by considering process in sound art practice through an exploration of artists’ experiences.
