University of Southampton Careers Telephone Surveyor
An opportunity is available within the Careers and Employability Service for Telephone Surveyors for the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey. All graduates from the University of Southampton are contacted by the Careers and Employability Service approximately six months after graduation to find out what they are doing (e.g. employment, further study or something else).
You will play an active role in contacting leavers from higher education by telephone to obtain key information about their graduate destinations, providing a high level of customer service and accurate inputting of data to the University student information system.
– You will have a friendly and enthusiastic telephone manner
– Strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to work quickly and efficiently
– Fluent level of spoken and written English
– Proficient skills in any foreign language would be desirable, but not essential
– Previous call centre experience desirable but not essential
– Current UoS Student, undergraduate (e.g. Bsc), postgraduate (e.g. MA, MPhil, PhD) or alumni. Any degree discipline
Additionally, in a few special cases applications are encouraged from
– students with fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin
– students studying at Winchester School of Art
Job Type – Part time work, Temporary
Employment Period – Mid November – 7th March, End of April – 25th June. Please note employment period may end earlier than stated.
Pay – £7.48 per hour (including mandatory holiday pay)
Shifts – Flexible, on a rota basis, Mon-Fri 17:30–20:00, Sat 11-15:00.
