Internship – Advocate Art
Advocate art is the market leader in kids, seasonal, photo real and decorative illustration.
We would like to offer the opportunities for your students to experience an internship with us. Our active internship program here at advocate is aimed at students or career seekers. We attract students in history of art, illustration, animation and graphic design/visual communication courses. We also employ agents so we attract language students as well as our artists and clients are international, however they must have basic spoken and written English
Advocate wishes to give students the opportunity to experience life in the industry, allowing your students to see the inner workings of the leading artist representation agency, then the best way is to spend time as an intern. Students will be involved in our daily tasks such as folio management, site maintenance, project managing etc. Discover how artist are briefed and what is hot in the industry right now. Not only do we give experience but help build their portfolio thought a question and answer session from which we suggest how to improve their portfolio to industry standards.
Throughout the process we pay for food and travel expenses, ideally we would like to take on students for two weeks, but that can vary from a couple of days to three weeks. We offer a recruiting platform, from which many of agency were recruited from interns. There are possibilities that successful interns may go onto third or fourth paid week. In special circumstance we can look at accommodating in a local b&b if they are travelling from further afield.
At the moment, we are actively looking for graduates (or soon to be graduates!) to fill paid trainee agent roles in our Surbiton and Worthing offices.
To apply, please email annabel@advocate-art.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
