I haven’t had a great deal of experience in filming, and none in editing film, but i’ve always been interested in any opportunities which involve these things and would love to give it a try. I love photography, which should help with knowing my way around filming equipment slightly, and I also enjoy editing my photographs on Photoshop – a skill which I was taught at age 13 and have carried on since, using a great deal during Photography A Level.
This trip is already giving me such a wide array of new skills and opportunities that would never otherwise be available to me, so why not add something else in there?

  Great! We do a lot of photographic recording at Portus that you should get involved with. For example, gigapixel imaging, photogrammetry, multispectral, reflectance transformation imaging etc. We also have some other talented photographers on the team. Hopefully you will have some nice Portus images for your flickr photostream soon.

I have got a little bit of experience in not necessarily filming but certainly part of documentary work so I would really like to be involved in this to develop my understanding of this further. I also really am developing a strong interest in photography so I feel that getting involved in photographic recording would be really beneficial for me in later years so that I can gain valuable experience.

I’ve got quite a bit of experience in film having been involved in susutv this year and my own home movies which I’ve edited. I was already planning on creating a video diary of Portus for my own benefit but filming as a group sounds a lot more rewarding.

I don’t have any experience in either filming or photography but I’ve always enjoyed them both and wanted to try it so this is a great opportunity! I am really excited to get involved with it in Portus, and I’m hoping I’ll be able to pick it up fairly quickly.

We might be filming again this season (2014), particularly in relation to the last week of the MOOC. We will post further information in due course, but if you are interested in potentially being involved please continue leaving comments here!
