I'm a classically trained archaeologist. I graduated in the Archaeology of Roman Provinces and further specialized in the methods and techniques of archaeological research. I am especially interested in construction techniques, particularly the analysis of late antique and early medieval and stratigraphic elevations.
I have been working at Portus since 2007 where I participated in several excavations carried out in different areas of the site, such as the Basilica Portuense, the so-called Antemurale (a stretch of the late antique walls) and was responsible for the excavations of the Terme della Lanterna.
From 2010 to 2014, I participated in the excavation campaign directed by E. Bukowiecki that was carried out in the area of the Magazzini di Traiano at Portus. The excavation was part of a four-year project by the ANR entitled "Entrepôts et structures de stockage dans le monde gréco-romain antique”. I was responsible for the study of the late antique phases of the complex.
I have also been involved in the Portus Project since 2008, originally as a volunteer and as of 2011, as a collaborator with the Parsifal cooperative. Since 2012, I have also taken part the "Segni Project" excavations, a three-year project between the British School at Rome and The Municipal Archaeological Museum of Segni.
