Currently the Outages form and notification email does not accurately record power outages affecting our network infrastructure. Therefore in order to improve the information regarding power outages, the Outages form has been amended to include additional Types and fields for planned and unplanned power outages with a new power outage email notification created. In addition the Service Outage types have been amended to refine the capture of Service Outage/Restart information and email notifications amended accordingly.
When a new Outages form is opened initially all fields including those related to power outages will be visible but will disappear when a Service Outage/Restart related Type is selected. Therefore it is important that the correct Outage/Restart Type is selected as this will enable accurate reporting on all outages and restarts.
