Following feedback from users who find the 10,000 row export limit on ServiceNow generated reports to be too confining – particularly when exporting data for busy months, we have implemented a rule to increase the number of exportable rows from 10,000 to 20,000.
If you notice any performance degradation as a result of exporting more than 10,000 rows, please contact Service Management.
Please also be aware that Microsoft Excel has a limit to the number of cells that can be populated. If your data contains too many rows and columns, you may find the export truncates and some data may be missing. This is why we have limited the number of exportable rows to 20,000. We recommend that where you are exporting more than 10,000 rows of data to:
a) Check the export to ensure all data is present, and
b) Make sure you are exporting only those columns you need for your reporting purposes.
