As part of the continual improvement of the Change Module in ServiceNow, the following improvements/enhancements have been made:-
The Planned Start & End date fields have been moved to near the bottom of the right hand column on the main Change Request page and the Scheduling tab has been removed. This move enables these fields to be readily seen through approvals, timelines and other previews.
An additional view of all the planned changes called Changes Timeline has been added to the Scheduling section and clicking on this link opens a timeline ribbon of all future change requests. To see an overview of a specific change you only need to double click on its panel. To see the full details click on the short description of the change in the top left hand corner of the overview screen.
The task creation activity in all workflows has been amended as follows:-
The named individual in the Assigned to field of the Change Request form will be assigned the task rather than the named individual in the Requested by field allowing the requestor to re-assign the work to implement the change, providing the Change Request has not been approved.
The contents of the Configuration item field on the Change Request form will be automatically copied to the corresponding field on the Task form. If the actual CI being affected by the task is different from this then the field is to be amended accordingly.
The Created date field has been added to the Change Request form opposite the Number field and the Approval set date field moved to the bottom of the left hand column of the form.
