ZDM-International Journal on Mathematics Education just published its latest issue last week on a special theme: Textbook research in mathematics education. The issue was co-edited by Prof. Lianghuo Fan and Mr. Keith Jones of MaSE and Prof. Jianpan Wang, and Prof. Binyan Xu of East China Normal University.  A number of internationally leading researchers from different parts of the world contributed to this special issue, which contains 11 articles. “I hope this special issue will in a sense become an important milestone and a must-read resource in the area of textbook research in mathematics education”, said Prof. Fan. MaSE will also organize a related conference, the International Conference on Mathematics Textbook Research and Development  from 29-31 July 2014. Click for more information here.
