During last week, MSHE member Keith Jones was at Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main, Germany, for a research planning meeting, and then at Universität Duisburg-Essen, Germany, to present an invited research seminar.
For the meeting in Frankfurt to plan a bid for EU funding, Keith joined with colleagues from Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia, BahçeĹźehir University, Turkey, Universidad de Cantabria, Spain, Universidade do Porto, Portugal, LinnĂ©universitet, Sweden, UniversitĂ© Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France, and UniversitĂ© Paris Diderot – Paris 7, France, as well as Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main, Germany; see photo.
For the invited research seminar at Universität Duisburg-Essen, Keith was joined by MSHE visiting fellow Kotaro Komatsu. Their presentation was on interim findings from their research project Proofs and Refutations in Dynamic Geometry Environments (PRinDGE).
 Keith’s latest publication is Students’ understanding of the structure of deductive proof, while Kotaro’s latest publication is Fostering empirical examination after proof construction in secondary school geometry.
