MSHE member, Dr. Christian Bokhove, is featured in the latest edition of the University of Southampton’s Research and Enterprise newsletter in the ‘Key Researchers’ section in recognition of his international research projects (Click here)

Dr. Bokhove obtained his PhD from the Freudenthal Institute for Science and Mathematics Education at Utrecht University, Netherlands in 2011 with a thesis ‘Use of ICT for acquiring, practicing and assessing algebraic expertise. He joined the University of Southampton as a lecturer in mathematics education in 2012. His research interest includes combining theory and practice, quantitative and qualitative methods, procedural fluency and conceptual understanding. He is also interested in comparing mathematics teaching and learning between different countries, in particular between East and West.
