The Mathematics and Science Education Research Centre is proud of its contribution to the latest national assessment of research (published Thursday 18 December 2014) that has reaffirmed the position of the University of Southampton as one of the leading research universities. In Education, 78% of the research activity and 100% of the research impact was rated as internationally excellent or of world-leading quality. Education at Southampton is now firmly in the top quartile of all UK Education Departments and is well on its way to becoming one of the foremost Education departments in Europe.
