First Erasmus+ meeting RiTE project

Dr Christian Bokhove of the MSHE centre recently went to Groningen, the Netherlands for the first kickoff meeting of the RiTE project.

The aim of the RiTE-project is to promote and facilitate (student) teachers to create an evidence informed teaching practice in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education. In this project, (student) teachers are stimulated to use evidence from educational and scientific research to experiment and innovate their teaching and learning processes.

Five partners from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland are working together on this in different ‘teacher training contexts’. We further collaborate with the Dudoc Network. During the meeting we discussed the workplan, underpinning theoretical frameworks and articles, and discussed dissemination. You can expect to see more about this project in due time.
