Developing a curriculum to support student mental health and wellbeing

Ros Hyde

Lucy Hoyes

Rosalyn Hyde and Lucy Hoyes have been awarded a CHEP (Centre for Higher Education Practice) Teaching Enhancement Grant for a new project. Trainee teachers experience what is often described as a ā€˜rollercoaster of emotionsā€™ whilst on a PGCE programme so the project will seek to collect data from secondary mathematics trainees in order to understand their experiences better. Our aim is to identify some ways that we can support trainee teachers more effectively with their health and wellbeing through their Initial Teacher Education Curriculum.
