Our research centre had a strong contribution to this year’s annual ASE conference. Centre members Carys Hughes, Christian Bokhove and three Biology teachers presented work on the development of a Maths for Biology day course. The slides are here:

 University of Southampton student Simon Alles (PGCE 2012-13) set a Guinness World record recently for the largest mathematical jigsaw. Simon and 500 students at the British School of Beijing recently completed a 3348 piece the Tarzia jigsaw, designed by Simon, as part of a Charity Marathon event.
