Feature List


Our app has three main facets: User Profile, Events and Advertisers.

We have identified the following features for each of the facets as:

1. A User Profile having

  • Personal and Professional details
  • Friends list and their addition
  • Able to sync with FB, LinkedIn
  • The count of Events organised/Events attended
  • Notifications to any of the events hosted/attending
  • Event suggestions
  • Chat window for interaction with friends
  • Location update

2.  Events Tab with

  • Provision to host an event with the appropriate fields
  • Add members/attendees to the events
  • Chat window for interaction among members
  • Provision to add some comments for the event
  • Map of the site and Location tracking using GPS of all the attendees and organiser
  • Attendees organised as various groups and the same used in location tracking
  • Broadcasting updates regarding the event making use of the groups
  • Provision to create sub-events within the main event
  • Personal view of the Events organised/attended so far, as history
  • Event settings with the provision to: add/remove organisers and add/remove attendees
  • Option to obtain feedbacks from people at the destination site
  • Search for the events that are happening
  • Checklist for the stuff required
  • Feedback/Gallery for the event hosted
  • Personal Calendar that stores the events in the corresponding dates and pops up reminders when an event is due and a note making feature

3.  Advertisers have

  • Provision to advertise themselves or their stuff for eg, a travel agency, accommodation provider etc., with their location, so that, these details would be available in an event page involving the corresponding destination.

Based on the available time and other constraints, we are planning to implement some/all of the above features.
