Games Development

Rapid Games Development is proving to be one of the best ways we’ve found to show people the brilliant things that games have to offer, and what better way to do it than have them make their own games?

Promoting computational thinking is the key and with it anyone will be capable of developing simple games within the space of a few lessons. It’s good for schools, good for higher education, and great for business.

At the University of Southampton, the Games Design Hub runs Games Development Workshops where anybody interested in developing games can receive instruction. Likewise we arrange for schools to visit us and us to visit schools in order to teach Rapid Games Development to the next generation of game developers. So far we’ve had some great success.

Similarly, our trips out into schools and other organizations have been a big success. So much so that, after bowing to pressure, we’ve begun to offer a twelve week course free of charge for any primary or secondary education institution!
