{"id":3406,"date":"2013-10-23T08:49:22","date_gmt":"2013-10-23T08:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/digitaleconomy\/?p=3406"},"modified":"2014-01-29T08:09:51","modified_gmt":"2014-01-29T08:09:51","slug":"the-web-science-institute-wsi-launches-its-20134-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsi\/the-web-science-institute-wsi-launches-its-20134-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"The Web Science Institute (WSI) launches its 2013\/4 Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Web Science Institute (WSI) launches its 2013\/4 Programme \u2013 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0November 11:30am to 2pm \u2013 Nuffield Theatre &#8220;Green Room&#8221; Cafe.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Dame Wendy Hall, Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt, Professor Susan Halford, Professor Hugh Davis and Professor Les Carr invite you to the launch of the new Web Science Institute&#8217;s programme for the 2013\/4 academic year, in conjunction with CITE.<\/p>\n<p>Following a champagne reception, the WSI Directors will introduce the new Institute and explain its role in the University and for our industry and government partners. \u00a0\u00a0Professor Hugh Davis from CITE will introduce the University\u2019s first MOOC (Web Science: How the Web is Changing the World) which opens to\u00a0participants\u00a0on the 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0November.
