There were lots of projects with DE USRG connections on display and the University was full of visitors. By the time I arrived at the booking desk at 10:45am the tours of the\u00a0<a title=\"Performance sport engineering\" href=\"http:\/\/60.southampton.ac.uk\/innovative-engineering-boosts-sports-performance\/5\">RJ Mitchell Wind Tunnel<\/a>, the<a title=\"Tony Davies High Voltage Lab\" href=\"http:\/\/60.southampton.ac.uk\/leading-edge-research-into-dielectric-materials\/13\">\u00a0Tony Davies High Voltage Laboratory<\/a>, and the\u00a0\u00a0<a title=\"Soton Astrodome\" href=\"http:\/\/www.astro.soton.ac.uk\/~s.jones\/\">Soton Astrodome<\/a>, the University\u2019s inflatable mobile planetarium, were all booked up until late in the afternoon. I didn&#8217;t have long so only got to see a small fraction of the exhibitions that took place all over the campus. There was also a film playing describing\u00a0the <a title=\"human powered flight\" href=\"http:\/\/60.southampton.ac.uk\/a-world-first-in-human-powered-flight\/26\">world\u2019s first human-powered flight<\/a>. Firstly there was a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 racing\u00a0car parked outside with very informed researchers discussing the <a title=\"rolling road wind tunnel\" href=\"http:\/\/60.southampton.ac.uk\/innovative-engineering-boosts-sports-performance\/5\">rolling road wind tunnel<\/a>.
