“It is definitely worth doing a placement year, it’s been great! I am now in a much better position for applying for graduate roles after university now. I have loved the challenge and responsibility and learnt so much about the industry. I would encourage anyone to take the opportunity and do a placement year.”
Lauren Sampson, Urban Outfitters, BA Fashion & Textile Design YIE

“I would say to any students thinking about doing a placement ‘DO IT!’ it is such a fantastic experience. Working in a smaller business means I am learning more about what the other departments do and how the business as a whole works together. I look forward to applying my new skills during my final year and in future graduate employment.”
Ashleigh Cameron, Urban Outfitters and Teatum Jones, BA Fashion & Textile Design YiE
***Please be aware that BA (Hons) Fashion & Textile Design students are NOT eligible for the Year in Employment now as they now have a 6 month placement option built into the course ***
