{"id":799,"date":"2015-09-18T10:26:40","date_gmt":"2015-09-18T10:26:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsaopps\/?p=799"},"modified":"2016-01-05T13:54:41","modified_gmt":"2016-01-05T13:54:41","slug":"paid-leadership-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsaopps\/paid-leadership-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Paid Leadership Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Personal Best Education (a part of the Mountbatten School in Romsey) is pleased to share the following paid opportunities to work with groups of young adults in Hampshire, on a \u2018National Citizen Service\u2019 course where they develop their potential through leadership, physical education and sport.<\/p>\n<p>During the Autumn Programme, we require leaders to accompany a group of 15 young people (aged between 16-17) for 4 days to our Activity site in Croyde, Devon. There, with another leader, and under the supervision of a senior leader, you will supervise the teams through a variety of high octane activities, designed to enhance their team building skills. These will includes activities such as coasteering, total wipe out, laser quest, high rope challenges and mountain boarding.<\/p>\n<p>Transportation from our pick up site at Wide Lane, opposite Southampton Parkway, to Croyde is arrange, and your food, accommodation and relevant kit is all provided. You will then be transported back to Norman Court School, based in West Thytherley, just outside of Romsey.<\/p>\n<p>For 3 days you will supervise the young people through a series of independent living workshops, designed to enhance their life skills, such as cooking, financial management. The young people have to deliver a social action project designed to help a local charity, and the workshops help them to come up with ideas on how to do this. The pay for this week is \u00a3250.<\/p>\n<p>The following \u2018Waves\u2019 are three separate courses, which are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wave 1<\/strong>: 3<sup>rd<\/sup> to 9<sup>th<\/sup> October, with the Social Action Project (SAP) happening between \u00a019<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 23<sup>rd<\/sup> October (The SAP is based at Basingstoke College of Technology)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wave 2<\/strong>: 10<sup>th<\/sup> to 16<sup>th<\/sup> October, with SAP 20<sup>th<\/sup> , 22<sup>nd<\/sup> and 23<sup>rd<\/sup> October (The SAP is based at St Vincent\u2019s College in Gosport)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wave 3<\/strong>: 17<sup>th<\/sup> to 23<sup>rd<\/sup> October, with the SAP happening at Fareham College on the 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 4<sup>th<\/sup> and 5<sup>th<\/sup> November<\/p>\n<p>If you wish to work with us, you could chose to do any of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wave 1 and Social Action Project (earning \u00a3400)<\/li>\n<li>Wave 1 and no SAP (earn \u00a3250)<\/li>\n<li>Wave 1 and no SAP + Wave 3 with SAP (earn \u00a3650)<\/li>\n<li>Wave 1 and Wave 3 with no SAP\u2019s (earn \u00a3500)<\/li>\n<li>Wave 1 and Wave 2 with no SAP (earn \u00a3500)<\/li>\n<li>Wave 1 and Wave 2 and then the SAP element of Wave 3 (earn \u00a3650)<\/li>\n<li>Wave 1 with SAP and Wave 2 with no SAP (earn \u00a3650)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note, if you work wave 1 And 2 together it would mean 14 days straight work.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in this opportunity, please Email:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:PBEDHR@mountbatten.hants.sch.uk\">PBEDHR@mountbatten.hants.sch.uk<\/a> or<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:catherine.rousell@mountbatten.hants.sch.uk\">catherine.rousell@mountbatten.hants.sch.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Personal Best Education (a part of the Mountbatten School in Romsey) is pleased to share the following paid opportunities to work with groups of young adults in Hampshire, on a \u2018National Citizen Service\u2019 course where they develop their potential through leadership, physical education and sport.
