They\u2019re amazing and beautiful, even mind-blowing! Wildflowers support our pollinators, but the UK has lost 97% of its wildflower habitat since the 1940s. We are\u00a0also only just beginning to find out all the amazing things that Fungi can do.\u00a0Scientists estimate that\u00a095% of all plants rely\u00a0on fungi\u00a0to survive and thrive and they have\u00a0saved countless human lives. Both wildflowers and fungi\u00a0play an important part in the complex web of life within our natural world.<\/p>\n<p>Our challenge is to make everyone else as passionate as us\u2026 and that\u2019s where you come in!<\/p>\n<p><strong>We want your project to reach and inspire lots of people in your school, youth group or community<\/strong>. You can use visual art, music, poetry, dance, or theatre\u2026 whatever it is that you and your friends are good at. Use your imagination; the more creative the better!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why should I apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improve your C.V. or personal statement.<\/li>\n<li>Make a stronger connection with your community.<\/li>\n<li>Gain independence and develop new skills.<\/li>\n<li>Raise awareness about wildflowers and fungi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>Sounds great! Just follow our four step approach:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: Come up with your great project idea!<br \/>\nStep 2: Find a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.growwilduk.com\/content\/information-supporting-organisations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supporting Organisation<\/a>\u00a0to help you deliver the project<br \/>\nStep 3: Make a short video application on your phone and upload it securely<br \/>\nStep 4: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.growwilduk.com\/form\/youth-project-funding-application\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Complete our online form<\/a>, including a link to your video<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more information on how to apply, head on over to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.growwilduk.com\/content\/youth-project-application-guidance-applicants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">guidance for applicants<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t have a S<\/strong><strong>upporting Organisation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to find a local Supporting Organisation. It could be your school, university, youth club or a local community group.<\/p>\n<p>For everything you need to know about who your Supporting Organisation can be, read our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.growwilduk.com\/content\/information-supporting-organisations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">information for supporting organisations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When\u2019s the deadline?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our Youth Project funding is part of a rolling programme, which means\u00a0you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.growwilduk.com\/form\/youth-project-funding-application\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apply at any time<\/a>. However, there are set points during the year when applications are reviewed.<\/p>\n<p>A panel of young people from across the UK will meet at each point to decide which projects to fund.<\/p>\n<p>To have your application assessed at the next panel meeting (Winter\u00a02018), please apply by:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Midday on Friday 30 November<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Future panel dates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Winter 2018;\u00a0Application deadline Friday 30\u00a0November 2018<\/li>\n<li>Spring 2019; Application deadline Monday 1 April*<\/li>\n<li>Summer 2019;\u00a0Application deadline\u00a0TBC*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*There is a possibility that all of the funding may be allocated before the spring or summer panels if we receive a high number of great applications, so get your application in early to avoid missing out!<\/p>\n<p>If successful, you and your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.growwilduk.com\/content\/information-supporting-organisations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supporting Organisation<\/a> will be asked for a few simple documents, and then receive funding about four weeks after this date.<\/p>\n<p>Projects can start as soon as you receive the \u00a3500 grant. <strong>All projects should be completed within six months of the date you receive the grant<\/strong> and no later than\u00a0Friday 25 October 2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For more information please head to:\u00a0https:\/\/www.growwilduk.com\/content\/youth-project-funding-open<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you\u00a014-25 and want to flex your\u00a0creative skills?\u00a0 Then we\u2019re offering you the chance to apply for \u00a3500\u00a0to lead a project that celebrates UK native wildflowers and\u00a0fungi in exciting and engaging ways.
