{"id":1871,"date":"2018-08-29T11:56:09","date_gmt":"2018-08-29T11:56:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsaopps\/?p=1871"},"modified":"2018-09-17T08:12:19","modified_gmt":"2018-09-17T08:12:19","slug":"young-contemporary-talent-2018-purchase-prize","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsaopps\/young-contemporary-talent-2018-purchase-prize\/","title":{"rendered":"Young Contemporary Talent 2018 &#8211; Purchase Prize"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"entry-title h1\">PURCHASE PRIZE<\/h1>\n<h5 class=\"h2 sub-title\">NOW OPEN FOR 2018 ENTRIES<\/h5>\n<h6>Our annual Purchase Prize Exhibition\u00a0exists to celebrate and support the work of young artists at the outset of their careers, and is open to all artists who have graduated from a UK art school within the last three years.\u00a0 This year\u2019s exhibition will take place from 22 \u2013 26 November 2018 at The Cello Factory in London, and the deadline for entries is 5 p.m. on <strong>Monday 17 September<\/strong>.<\/h6>\n<p>All applications will be reviewed by a panel including Jo Baring, Director &amp; Curator of The Ingram Collection.<\/p>\n<p>Successful finalists will have their works exhibited at The Cello Factory exhibition,\u00a0and up to three works will be purchased to join The Ingram Collection.\u00a0 One of the Prize-winning artists will be invited to put on a solo show at the Art Fund Prize-winning gallery, The Lightbox, in December 2019.<\/p>\n<p>All other selected works will be available for sale during the exhibition\u00a0for a commission of 20% of the selling price.\u00a0 This percentage will go back into funding The Ingram Collection\u2019s work with young artists.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s exhibition is generously sponsored by<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-4402\" src=\"http:\/\/ingramcollection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Rawlinson-Hunter-high-res-small.jpg\" alt=\"Rawlinson &amp; Hunter high res small\" width=\"265\" height=\"79\" \/><\/p>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><strong><br \/>\nHOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>No fee to enter, maximum of two works per artist, no size limits.
