{"id":1699,"date":"2017-11-06T17:01:32","date_gmt":"2017-11-06T17:01:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsaopps\/?p=1699"},"modified":"2017-11-06T17:13:28","modified_gmt":"2017-11-06T17:13:28","slug":"wsa-external-affairs-internship-project-assistant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsaopps\/wsa-external-affairs-internship-project-assistant\/","title":{"rendered":"WSA External Affairs Internship &#8211; Project Assistant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The External Affairs team at Winchester School of Art is looking for a Project Assistant, to assist the team with a wide range of projects and initiatives promoting WSA, both internally at the University and externally to industry partners and schools and colleges.<\/p>\n<p>You will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with the Director of External Affairs and the External Affairs Officer in promoting and assisting with the organisation of WSA&#8217;s initiatives and events, both internally, such as the Saturday Club and the Degree Shows, and externally with industry partners.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in the delivery of External Affairs&#8217; and WSA&#8217;s digital communications portfolio, for example: blogs, website, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with external and internal partners and stakeholders, for example: Arts at Southampton, Communications and Marketing, external PR agencies, alumni, creative industry and schools and colleges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A high level of computer literacy and experience with managing social media<\/li>\n<li>Be comfortable working with multiple projects to deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Proactive and enthusiastic<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in a team<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and English language skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to work occasional Saturdays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a paid opportunity being offered via the University of Southampton&#8217;s Excel Internship programme, consisting of 140 hours between 4th December 2017 and ending 15th June 2018, at a rate of \u00a38.21.
