Winchester National Exhibition

2017 sees the third Winchester National Exhibition – an exhibition of digital photographic Images for Screen (IfS).

The exhibition is organised by Winchester Photographic Society and is affiliated to British Photographic Exhibitions (BPE), thereby allowing photographers to gain BPE Crowns for any acceptances.

Winchester National Exhibition 2017 is open to any photographer, amateur or professional, who is resident in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or BFPO addresses. Entries into any of four classes can be submitted in May and June and the resulting exhibition will be shown in September 2017.

Key Dates
Entry Submission Period: 1 May to 30 June 2017. From 1 May, there’ll be a link for submitting entries, which will be available till entries close on 30 June 2017.
Results announced: Monday 31 July 2017
Catalogues posted: Monday 25 September 2017
Presentation & Awards Evening: Tuesday 19 September 2017, Performance Hall, Winchester Discovery Centre
Online viewing of exhibition: 20 September to 31 December 2017 via Winchester Photographic Society website

Classes
There are four classes and you may enter up to four images in each, but no more than ten images in total.

  • People: Individuals or groups, showing character, behaviour or customs, or making social comment. Travel and street photography may be included
  • Landscapes: Land, sea or urban views. People or animals may be included but should not form the main subject of the image
  • Open: Any subject, including abstract images
  • Nature: Depiction of all branches of natural history as defined in the new common FIAP/PSA/RPS Nature Definition, January 2015 (outlined in full in the Rules of Entry)

£1.50 per image; minimum fee of £6.00
