Wessex Social Ventures – Marketing & Illustrator Positions
WSV is in a young and exciting stage of development, any work you do during this internship will involve close working with the Founders and Directors. There will be many instances where the work you complete could become ingrained into the WSV story and culture.
Marketing Communications Officer
As Marketing Communications Officer it will be your job to design how WSV tells its story and the story the impactful social franchises in the WSV portfolio. Your aim is to build support and brand awareness with potential customers and donors, UK media agencies, international media agencies. This includes engaging with journalists, our advertising and PR agency partners and other relevant network organisations. Other roles would include; writing blogs, which will be shared on leading social sector networks, managing and increasing the WSV social media presence, as well as attending networking events and showcases.
Alongside this, you will also; have the opportunity to direct videos featuring the team e.g. sharing content and ideas, stories or experiences; be designing and developing the marketing content for use on promotional material in the UK and for the enterprises to develop brand awareness in communities and countries operation.
Illustrator
WSV works internationally to train charities to set up people in international communities with one of our franchises. As Illustrator, it will be your responsibility to create visual representations of concepts in the training material, on our website and marketing material, such that their meaning is understood with no or minimal written description. The key aim is for designs to be language neutral.
Your work will help us to graphically illustrate our business model and the wider impact created through the activities of us and the members of our network. Your role will cross over with other members of the team each with their own specific responsibilities. This is an opportunity to define the success of our social franchises and how they are portrayed around the world.
Candidates may be able to work from their home if they can prove their quality of skill and work ethic.
