The Brendoncare Foundation – Artist Commission £3,000
The Brendoncare Foundation is a registered charity providing care and support for older people. We are seeking to commission an artist to deliver a public art scheme at our innovative shared care scheme at Otterbourne Hill in Hampshire.
We want the art to be accessible to residents living with dementia and integral to the design of the scheme and therefore propose to create a piece of art that can be transferred onto the façade glazing of the winter garden. The winter garden has a double height façade (approx. 3610mm x 5700mm). The aim is to bring the outside indoors and for the garden to be a place of peace, rest and stimulation. The art should provide a real visual impact both externally and internally – for the front of the building and the internal winter garden.
