Tech Camp Assistant’s
Tech Camp are looking to recruit a Camp Assistant with a particular interest in film and digital media for the upcoming summer residential camps at Sparsholt College, Winchester, from 29th July – 26th August. our latest film
There are experienced tutors to run the actual courses, so the majority of your duties would be general supervision of the campers (meal times etc,) registration duties, and helping to resolve any issues campers may have or help the tutors as necessary. There will be a Camp Manager for you to report to with any issues and this Manager will also allocate you your detailed duties, primarily related to filming and photographing the activities undertaken at the camps and making social media and other postings.
You will need to be prepared to work a 6 day week, but you will get 24 hours off at some point during each week, usually during the changeover of campers, either the Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. It is good fun, and a great experience, with a good team of university and other students all working together. We also provide fun evening activities for the campers, which all Camp Assistants help out with, so you will be expected to take part in those and produces images and film.
Applicants should be aged at least 18, have strong communication skills and enjoy working with children. They should also have an interest in technology, proven video and photography skills and be able to produce short video films and social media postings. The rate starts at £400 per week for 18-20 year old assistants and rises to £470 per week if the applicant is over 21. We would undertake the DBS check for any successful candidate and Board and Lodging in a single room with a bathroom is provided at Sparsholt College for the duration of the camps.
