Student For A Day
Winchester School of Art is collaborating with Hampshire schools, for all ages, to give students an opportunity to experience a day in a teaching environment. Mainly shadowing a teacher, students might also work on art projects and activity days, and school students get the chance to find out from you what it’s like to be an art student.
Discover if teaching is for you – if you are interested in working within education,
or just want to experience what it’s like to teach, this opportunity will provide you with an insight into art education in schools and will be a great addition to your CV.
Participating in a range of activities during your studies will give you an insight into areas of employment and develop your employability skills:
- Communication
- Creativity
- Self-management and personal effectiveness
- Team working
- Networking
Inspire students, share your educational journey at Winchester School of Art and experience something new!
Teaching Opportunities
- A school in Fareham is looking for enthusiastic potters, ceramacists or glass artists to inspire their students. Over the next 8 months they will be focusing on these areas and would love to host some students who wish to share their knowledge and skills.
- A school in Southampton would be keen to hear from photographers who would like to support a pin hole workshop next Autumn (October/November time).
