Scarf & Pocket Square Design Competition – £200 Prize Limited Run
The University is pleased to announce the launch of its Scarf & Pocket Square Design Competition, to find an original design that represents an area of our research excellence.
The winner will receive a £200 prize, as well as the opportunity to have their design produced as part of a limited run – the winning design will be used by the University as a promotional item and sold through our online store. In addition, the winner will also receive 3 of the finished scarves and 3 of the pocket squares.
Entrants should submit one design that is scalable for both a 90 x 90cm scarf and a 35 x 35cm pocket square. Designs should focus on one area of the University’s research excellence as identified by the stories at http://www.southampton.ac.uk/research/impact/highlights.page and be accompanied by a short explanation (no more than 100 words) on why it was chosen.
The winner must be able to supply the design in Photoshop and set the files up for print as per the guidelines at the silk bureau: https://www.silkbureau.co.uk/good-to-know/#anyword
Please submit your design by 11.59pm on 7th February 2017 to Unigifts@soton.ac.uk with subject ‘WSA Scarf Competition’.
