Design Internship Scheme at Dorling Kindersley
DK – the world’s leading illustrated reference publisher – is seeking highly talented and motivated design interns to come and help us create new ways of engaging our global audience and to learn from the best in the industry.
Paid design internships | Autumn/Winter 2016
The Design Internships
DK, the award-winning illustrated reference publisher, launched an internship scheme in 2013 in memory of Christopher Davis, one of the founders of DK, who died in 2012. Christopher was DK’s Global Publisher until his retirement in 2005 and was the driving force behind many of DK’s iconic and best-selling titles. His passion for publishing and unwavering commitment to quality inspired an incredible number of DK staff over the years. DK is offering up to nine design internships in 2016 to continue his spirit of nurturing creative talent.
You will be working in one of our creative design teams in the heart of London. You will be involved in a wide range of tasks from designing new concepts and presentations; creating stunning layouts; selecting the world’s best images; commissioning photography, illustrations and graphics; and working closely with our editors and authors. You could be working on lifestyle or reference books on a range of subjects, or perhaps on our children’s list, or children’s website, or possibly in our Licensing department on Star Wars™ or LEGO® titles. We work across all media from books to digital to video and animation, and at least one of the internships will involve a mixture of print and digital work.
The internships will take place from 12th September to 16th December 2016.
