Call for Exhibition Proposals – GAF Centre
The Gaf Centre, Bursledon is a local arts and heritage centre that are looking to expand our visual arts exhibitions that we have on offer. The Gaf centre is located in School Road Old Bursledon. It is a Grade II listed building originally built as a ballroom for the Greyladyes House, which is adjacent; it was also converted into a chapel. In 2005 Greyladyes Arts Foundation (Gaf) was formed and via donations the Chapel was purchased. Since then Gaf has worked to improve the facilities and turn the chapel into an Arts Centre for south Hampshire. It has now become a valuable part of the community where it offers a range of events such as social coffee mornings, children’s workshops, lectures and performing arts.
Over the last 10 years Gaf has organised exhibitions in conjunction with Hampshire Open Studios as well as local artists, colleges and universities. The Gaf Centre is looking to extend its visual arts program and is looking to offer more regular exhibitions throughout the year. We are very keen for both artists and organisations to submit proposals of what they would like to show. We are open to a range of mediums whether it’s painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and beyond. We are flexible in what we offer to artists such as space and duration (subject to other pre-booked events).
If this is an opportunity that you are interested please do get in contact with any other questions you may have. We are also open on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons so please do pop by if you would like to discuss this further, this will also be an opportunity for you to see the space we have on offer. Please note other dates and times can also be pre- arranged if necessary.
