Art commission for Bringing Research to Life Roadshow 2018
Every year the Public Engagement with Research unit takes the Bringing Research to Life Roadshow on the road to share the amazing UoS research with the public. It visits a number of different events, including BBC Countryfile Live, Glastonbury Festival and Camp Bestival.
For next year we’re looking to commission an artist to design and produce an exhibit based on research from the Winchester School of Art. It could be a painting, photo, sculpture, whatever you see fit. The team involved would also have the opportunity to attend the Roadshow events to discuss their work with the public.
We’d like to launch this project at the Roadshow 2017 ‘wash up’ event, being on held on the 28th November. Anyone interested would be invited to attend with a prototype/sketch/concept to share with the Roadshow team.
PERu will be offering funding for this project, budget to be submitted as part of the application.
