UoS Business Innovation Programme
The Business Innovation Programme (formerly Student Consultancy) is now open for applications. Students from any degree discipline and year are eligible to apply – however if they are graduating and leaving the university this summer, they cannot apply.
The Business Innovation Programme is designed to offer you the opportunity to gain invaluable experience of working on a real-life business issue put forward by local businesses or not-for-profit organisations. This is an opportunity to develop your business acumen, team working and problem solving skills by working on an 8 week project during term-time, in either Semester 1 or 2. The Business Innovation Programme is supported by IBM, who facilitate the training programme prior to projects commencing. Students will also receive £250 payment on completion of the project.
Applications close on the 19th May, and students will know whether they have successfully gained a place on the programme before term ends. Projects will take place from 10th October for 8 weeks. Students will need to attend 2 half day training sessions, facilitated by IBM, prior to the start date.
Students can apply via MyCareer – https://mycareer.soton.ac.uk/leap/jobSearch.html?id=14398&service=Careers+Service
