This perspective also appeared to be shared in many of my peers’ blogs.

Learning about alternative ways to stand out from the crowd, such as reading the success story of Adam Pacitti’s “Employ Adam” campaign, made me consider how important it is to ‘jazz up’ your online CV.

This aspect of a professional online CV was discussed within my comment on Francesca’s blog (here) where I questioned whether, as the digital world continues to evolve rapidly, LinkedIn CVs and engaging with employers on social networks will no longer suffice. In the near future, will we all need outlandish, creative stunts in order to become visible and establish ourselves professionally?

Some helpful comments were shared on my blog post, such as that of Eldar, directing my attention to the blogs of Emma (unfortunately the link isn’t working, apologies!) and Kimberly (here), raising the question of the viability of a video CV. Although I know it worked in the case of Adam Pacitti (who’s video CV, I think, corresponds perfectly to the success of his billboard campaign – here ), I think it would be very industry-dependent and could not work for less creative professions.

As mentioned by Alysia, I agree that my posts over the coming weeks could be greatly improved through the use of interactivity – including more links/images will help illustrate my ideas.

This week’s topic was highly engaging, both in terms of the research it led me to read and the comments it provoked within blogs.
