Being a part of ECS has many perks \u2013 near unlimited access to extremely powerful computers, discounts on a large amount of professional level software, very knowledgeable and helpful staff, there\u2019s a lot going for it beyond the quality of the education. But above all that is without a shadow of a doubt the free food.<\/p>\n
Today (as of writing) we were offered a free, all-you-can-eat buffet lunch in the Mountbatten common room. Rolls! Crisps! \u00c9clairs! Doughnuts! Water! Truly, it was excellent. I even learned some new things. For instance, there\u2019s a small overhang from the roof garden that affords an excellent view of the Highfield Campus but is only large enough for about 2 people and isn\u2019t as much of a romantic escape as it sounds due to the two very large generators just behind it and the fact that it\u2019s in plain view of the common room. Also, I learned that there is a rather pleasant sky garden leading from the Mountbatten common room. Also, that there is a common room in Mountbatten.<\/p>\n
All in all it was a great and friendly little treat to end the term with. Still, can\u2019t wait for the Easter break!
