Also whilst I was &#8216;off-duty&#8217;, I helped one of my friends who had just happened to pick the only faulty monitor in the room &#8211; it turns out it was a bad VGA cable, which Toby and I replaced promptly. The Helpdesk team has been emailed a request to attend an evening of light refreshments at an unspecified venue in order to team-build and discuss ideas &#8212; now this, I like the sound of. Strawberry Brothers&#8217; cider for me please! I&#8217;m sure I will be more productive in the coming Friday as I saw my team leader busying about today.<\/p>\n<p>Over the weekend I discovered a very interesting fact in the Wessex Scene newspaper which claimed that in a sex survey, only 4.6% of ECS students were virgins. Who said Computer Science wasn&#8217;t an arousing subject after all? And yes, I&#8217;m bordering censorship here, but it&#8217;s not as bad as some of the innuendos I&#8217;ve seen on some departmental hoodies!<\/p>\n<p>By the way if you do come here, keep a look out for a lecturer called Julian Rathke. I guarantee you won&#8217;t find anyone else&#8217;s slides more fun and interesting to read. Of all the modules I&#8217;ve had so far, Advanced Programming definitely seems to go down the easiest, though in some ways, I am biased as I did do a lot of Java back in college. However, the slides are still humorous and informative. Of course there&#8217;s always Eric Cooke and his catchphrases.<br \/>\n&#8230;Can I have my First now, please?<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of which, I will get my Semester 1 results this Friday.
