#6 – Christmas Holidays<\/p>\n
Hooray, Christmas holidays! finally some time off – these last few weeks have been insane. I’ve had 6 pieces of coursework since about the second week of term, all due in over the last four. But now, I am (mostly) free! I have two pieces of coursework due after Christmas, but both are group pieces that are pretty hard to get done individually, so other than revision for the 6 exams I have, I have most of this time off. Yay!<\/p>\n
I love my job at the Union bars. Being a barman is one of the best jobs I’ve ever had, and the people I work with are just awesome. I’m actually more happy I got this job now than I was when I first got it!<\/p>\n
I find living away from all my E block friends a little disorienting, and living where I do (near Wessex Lane) would be an absolute nightmare if i didn’t have a bus pass. It may be cheap, but I’d rather it cost more and I didn’t have to walk for nearly 40 minutes to get home from visiting people in Portswood. I’ve already decided I’m moving out next year, and the house I’m moving to is more expensive but almost on campus, and only 10 minutes from Portswood, which for me is really worth it.<\/p>\n
It’s certainly odd being ‘home’, especially as I’m going to be here for the next few weeks, as since Easter(!) I’ve only been at ‘home’ for a total of 13 days. I don’t really think about here being ‘home’ any more, my home is Southampton and this is just the Place my Parents Live. It’s odd to think that, but then I’m actually not too surprised. I don’t have many friends here, and it’s the middle of nowehere while in Southampton it’s easy to get around.<\/p>\n
