Merry Christmas Everyone!<\/p>\n
With my last lectures of term out of the way this morning I\u2019m now truly free to join in with the Christmas spirit! We have Slade blaring away in the background and I\u2019m about to wrap presents for my flat\u2019s party tonight. We\u2019re hopefully going ice-skating in the town centre this afternoon too, which I\u2019m really looking forward to! Fast forward to tomorrow and I\u2019ll be back enjoying the creature comforts of home, though I\u2019m going to really miss being here. Put simply, can life really get any better than this?! Well I suppose it could if I didn\u2019t have quite so much work to do over the holidays. I\u2019ve got a lot of coursework to do including a very fiendish looking technical report to write, which I know is going to be lots of fun\u2026 Also, exams are looming just two weeks into the New Year so revision a-plenty is called for. They might sound similar but exams and Xmas just don\u2019t mix unfortunately! Ok I apologise \u2013 that was worse than most cracker jokes, but then that\u2019s half the fun isn\u2019t it? What do you call people who are afraid of Santa Claus?<\/p>\n
Now is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the last 11 weeks here at Southampton and what an amazing time I\u2019ve had. Firstly, I\u2019ve learned a huge amount. The academic side has been fascinating and despite arriving here with an Electronics A-level under my belt, I\u2019ve done a load of cool new stuff. Secondly, I\u2019ve learnt a load of life skills what with cooking for yourself everyday and all the other things that have to be done that I don\u2019t think many of us quite appreciated properly before. Thirdly \u2013 and arguably most importantly \u2013 I\u2019ve met so many truly amazing people and made loads of great friends. It\u2019s been a really special time and I\u2019m going to really miss seeing them all everyday whilst we\u2019re away.<\/p>\n
All it remains for me to do is to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! See you in 2009!<\/p>\n
