As with more traditional approach, the team roles were clearly defined and most of the tasks were allocated at the start of the project. A project plan with milestones was also prepared.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"pl\">The processes of developing the portfolio and designing our social network have had several elements of <em><strong>prototyping<\/strong><\/em>, one of the popular prescriptive (traditional) methods:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Going through multiple iterations in order to provide finished work<\/li>\n<li>Discovering new stakeholder&#8217;s requirements with each iteration<\/li>\n<li>Response to feedback from our mentor, who acted\u00a0effectively as our Client<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_2643\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/smallworld\/files\/2015\/04\/Scan_20150430.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2643\" class=\"wp-image-2643 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/smallworld\/files\/2015\/04\/Scan_20150430-300x293.png\" alt=\"Scan_20150430\" width=\"300\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/smallworld\/files\/2015\/04\/Scan_20150430-300x293.png 300w, https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/smallworld\/files\/2015\/04\/Scan_20150430-308x300.png 308w, https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/smallworld\/files\/2015\/04\/Scan_20150430.png 568w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2643\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Prototyping Paradigm (Pressman, R.S., 2010)<\/p><\/div>\n<p lang=\"pl\">However, we have also incorporated some strong <strong><em>agile<\/em><\/strong> components to it, such as:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Frequent and regular meetings as a group (on weekly basis) plus extra meetings in subgroups (e.g. graphic designers) as appropriate but also informal Facebook conversations<\/li>\n<li>Regular meetings with our mentor<\/li>\n<li>Spare meeting times used for brainstorming and free circulation of ideas<\/li>\n<li>Balancing workload, requirements and product features in order to meet the deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Role flexibility: while everyone had their role assigned, team members were able to support each other in areas outside their core responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>References<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pressman, R.S., 2010.
