Both papers\u00a0were accepted following peer review and have now been published in the online\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/torrii.responsible-innovation.org.uk\/\">Observatory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/torrii.responsible-innovation.org.uk\/resource-detail\/1445\">first paper <\/a>co-authored with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nottingham.ac.uk\/engineering\/people\/sue.cobb\">Sue Cobb at the University of Nottingham <\/a>discusses the importance of user &#8216;voices&#8217; in research and draws upon over a decade of work involving children and young people on the autism spectrum in educational technology design. The paper describes the kinds of methods that have been used to support children&#8217;s involvement, using examples drawn from three different projects.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/torrii.responsible-innovation.org.uk\/resource-detail\/1444\">second paper <\/a>was co-authored with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kcl.ac.uk\/sspp\/departments\/education\/people\/academic\/abbottc.aspx\">Chris Abbott from KCL<\/a>\u00a0and discusses the ethical challenges of gaining informed consent from children and young people to take part in research.
