{"id":2271,"date":"2017-02-22T10:25:59","date_gmt":"2017-02-22T10:25:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/sharks\/?p=2271"},"modified":"2017-02-22T10:31:38","modified_gmt":"2017-02-22T10:31:38","slug":"last-week-game-results-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/sharks\/last-week-game-results-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Last Week Game Results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wednesday 15<sup>th<\/sup> of February:<\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s 2<sup>nd<\/sup> team met UWE at the Jubilee and won 74 \u2013 67.<\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s 3<sup>rd<\/sup> team went to Southampton Solent University but unfortunately lost their cup game against their Men\u2019s 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 82 \u2013 37.<\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s 1<sup>st<\/sup> went to the University of Nottingham to play against their first team for a cup game. It was a tight game. Nottingham got the lead in the first half but Sharks didn\u2019t let go and started to play zone defence which stopped the home team from putting too many points in. Unfortunately, Soton didn\u2019t manage to tie the game and lost 59 \u2013 49.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 18<sup>th<\/sup> of February:<\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s 1<sup>st<\/sup> met Oxford Stealers at the Jubilee, it was a team against which they could win. The first quarter was tied 22 all, however, the second quarter didn\u2019t go well at all and Sharks lost the quarter, 12 \u2013 25. Despite the efforts the men put in the second half, it was not enough to win the game and Sharks lost, 64 \u2013 75.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday 19<sup>th<\/sup> of February:<\/p>\n<p>Sharks B played against the Badgers (Medics) team and unfortunately lost, 24 \u2013 18.<\/p>\n<p>Sharks A did not play against the Swifts because the game was cancelled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wednesday 15th of February: Men\u2019s 2nd team met UWE at the Jubilee and won 74 \u2013 67.
