{"id":4601,"date":"2018-06-06T10:04:44","date_gmt":"2018-06-06T10:04:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/servicemanagement\/?p=4601"},"modified":"2018-06-06T10:04:44","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T10:04:44","slug":"improvements-to-outage-notifications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/servicemanagement\/2018\/06\/06\/improvements-to-outage-notifications\/","title":{"rendered":"Improvements to Outage Notifications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recent improvements have been made to the way that Outages can be recorded in ServiceNow from resolved P1 &amp; P2 Incidents and approved Changes.<\/p>\n<p>In both cases by right clicking on the resolved Incident &amp; approved Change Request form header bars and selecting Create Outage, you are taken straight to the Outage form with all relevant fields populated with the required information.<\/p>\n<p>At this point, you should check that the outage type and information in the fields is correct and for P1 &amp; P2 Incidents ensure the Problem Record number field is populated as well as the Incident\/Change number field.<\/p>\n<p>Once satisfied the information is correct you should click the Submit button to save the Outage record and generate the notification email.<\/p>\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-4601\" data-postid=\"4601\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-4601 themify_builder themify_builder_front\">\n\t\t<\/div>\n<!-- \/themify_builder_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recent improvements have been made to the way that Outages can be recorded in ServiceNow from resolved P1 &amp; P2 Incidents and approved Changes.
