{"id":4541,"date":"2017-03-29T10:48:44","date_gmt":"2017-03-29T10:48:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/servicemanagement\/?p=4541"},"modified":"2017-03-29T10:48:44","modified_gmt":"2017-03-29T10:48:44","slug":"changes-to-the-servicenow-systems-services-ci-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/servicemanagement\/2017\/03\/29\/changes-to-the-servicenow-systems-services-ci-record\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to the ServiceNow Systems &amp; Services CI Record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over that past few weeks a number of changes have been made to the Systems &amp; Services CI Record form in ServiceNow in order to improve the information it can contain.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Removal of a number of redundant fields and replacing all but one of the HTML ones with plain text fields to improve loading time.<\/li>\n<li>Creation of a \u2018Service Lifecycle\u2019 tab with an embedded related list for \u201cService Lifecycle Portfolio Projects\u201d and added fields for \u201cService Go Live date\u201d, \u201cLast DR Test Date\u201d &amp; \u201cProjected Retirement Date\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Added a \u2018Developer\u2019 field to record, where required, the name of the developer of the system or service.<\/li>\n<li>Added additional \u2018Types\u2019 of \u201cSupport\u201d and \u201cSchools &amp; Faculties\u201d as an aid to reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Remove mandatory fields and added a \u201cNone\u201d option to \u2018Business Criticality\u2019 for use with retired Systems &amp; Services.<\/li>\n<li>Hiding the \u201dModel ID\u201d field once a System &amp; Service CI record has been saved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-4541\" data-postid=\"4541\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-4541 themify_builder themify_builder_front\">\n\t\t<\/div>\n<!-- \/themify_builder_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over that past few weeks a number of changes have been made to the Systems &amp; Services CI Record form in ServiceNow in order to improve the information it can contain.
