As part of the annual Sustainability Action Awards, we\u2019re inviting entries to the first Sustainability Action Photographer of the Year 2016 competition<\/a>. All of the University\u2019s students and staff are invited to enter the competition, submitting your images on the theme of \u2018My Global Goals\u2019.<\/p>\n

The theme: My Global Goals<\/strong><\/h4>\n

2015 was a landmark year for sustainable development, with 193 governments agreeing to 17 Global Goals<\/a> to address the major social and environmental challenges facing the world in the 21st<\/sup> Century. The goals include no poverty by 2030, ending all forms of discrimination against women and girls everywhere, and achieving sustainable management of natural resources by 2030.<\/p>\n

Through the competition, you can tell us through photography what the Global Goals mean to you as an individual. How are you taking action on climate change? What does reducing inequality look like for you? How do encourage peace and justice?<\/p>\n

Entering the competition is simple<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The application process is quick and easy. Simply submit your photograph(s) and a form (download it from here<\/a>) to Julia Kendal by email<\/a> by the deadline of Monday 29 February<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Students and staff can also apply for a Sustainability Action Award<\/a> to recognise your work or volunteering that is helping to change the world for the better.<\/p>\n
