And we have a name!!
After coming up with an idea for our application, finding a name for it proved to be quite a challenge as well!
The difficult thing was that most names coming to our mind consisted of more than one words and we were thinking that this would make it difficult for displaying the name underneath an app thumbnail, plus it would not be something catchy in the sense of easy to remember.
Having checked out a bunch of apps on the Google play store and on the App store as well we noticed that there were quite many applications that had names with many words but these were not actually displayed inside the app.
This gave us the idea to do something similar. Meaning that we would not constrain ourselves to have an one word name but we would try to find an abbreviation to shorten it and make it more memorable!
Most of our ideas evolved around language learning, but we also wanted the app name to give a hint concerning the fact that we use live videos from users, meaning that it is not a typical language app with just quizzes and exercises.
That’s pretty much how we came up with the name: Live Language Learning!
The problem remained though as it was pretty big to use it. After giving it some thought we ended up combining the fact that all three words started with the same letter!
And that’s how L3 became our name!!!
The following mockup shows the opening screen of our app with the logo appearing along with its explanation. The rest of the app where necessary after that will use our logo.
