{"id":123,"date":"2013-05-24T10:40:42","date_gmt":"2013-05-24T10:40:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/plustex\/?p=123"},"modified":"2013-05-29T14:45:11","modified_gmt":"2013-05-29T14:45:11","slug":"wsa-plustex-team-and-public-policysouthampton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/plustex\/wsa-plustex-team-and-public-policysouthampton\/","title":{"rendered":"The WSA Plustex team and Public Policy@Southampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #003366;\">The\u00a0Plustex \u00a0project team at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton,\u00a0are very pleased to announce\u00a0 a new collaboration with the\u00a0Public Policy@Southampton unit, which will\u00a0continue to the end of the project in December 2014.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Unit is an external facing, public engagement team which has been established by the University to increase the reach and impact of University of Southampton research.\u00a0The remit is to bring together the expertise of world-leading researchers with the expertise and experience of key policy-makers and practitioners to address issues of social, cultural, economic and political importance.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of PlusTEX is to capitalise on best policy initiatives and to creatively support SMEs in the textile and clothing sector, so we are very excited to\u00a0link our research on Good Practice policies in the creative and manufacturing sectors with a unit that champions\u00a0 impact with external UK policy makers.<\/p>\n<p>With the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/publicpolicy.southampton.ac.uk\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Public Policy<\/a>\u00a0unit we will develop a series of events, online\u00a0interventions and briefings to publicise the PlusTEX project findings, and begin to network with\u00a0 local companies involved in eco innovation and social enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/plustex\/wsa-plustex-team-and-public-policysouthampton\/copy-header1-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-125\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-125\" title=\"copy-Header1\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/plustex\/files\/2013\/05\/copy-Header11.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"482\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/plustex\/files\/2013\/05\/copy-Header11.png 482w, https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/plustex\/files\/2013\/05\/copy-Header11-300x174.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 482px) 100vw, 482px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Plustex \u00a0project team at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton,\u00a0are very pleased to announce\u00a0 a new collaboration with the\u00a0Public Policy@Southampton unit, which will\u00a0continue to the end of the project in December 2014.
